Smurfit Westrock is striving for a digital future which has led them to implement a global central transformation program. Consequently, a central Procurement department has been set up with the roll out of a central contract management system as part of it.  Currently, Smurfit Westrock is looking for a Sourcing Manager IT to act as the global central point of contact for contract management and will play a key role in the execution of the procurement strategy. In this role, you will report directly to the Procurement Lead and be part of a vibrant international organization where a focus on results is key.

As a Sourcing Manager IT, you are responsible for the tactical and partially operational procurement process and manage the global procurement process for Smurfit Westrock. You focus on managing commercial and preferred suppliers, executing the procurement strategy, and optimizing the supplier base and expenditures. You negotiate contracts and renewals, manage the hiring of contractors, and initiate signature requests in DocuSign. You coordinate and participate in various projects related to procurement and contract management

Additionally, your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Close collaboration with Contract Managers and Service Managers in executing the procurement strategy.
• Coordination with regional procurement contacts within the company to ensure a consistent tone and approach regarding procurement.
• Ensuring the consistent execution of the procurement process across the company.
• Cost management for IT by category and subcategory and proposing optimizations through spend management.
• Working on a medium to long-term strategy with your stakeholders to promote continuous improvements.

Furthermore, you possess:

• An HBO degree preferably in business economics.
• 5 years’ experience preferably IT Sourcing, KPI settings and service management.
• Experience with contract management software is a pre.
• Good communication skills in both English and Dutch.
• Self-starting and willing to continuously improve ways of working to drive the category and ensure that we remain competitive.
• Good negotiations skills.
